Looks kind of ugly to me -- kind of like the XD-Compact type of ugly. I'm sure the Walther version (if there will ever be a Walther version of it) will look much better.

I have always thought the SW99 was a mockary of the p99 but this has just gone TOO far. that thing is ridiculously ugly. i pray the walther p99 compact will be something more along the lines of the p22..........

Maybe it wouldn't look quite so stupid with a larger grip insert?

I wish they had rescaled it instead of just shortening the slide a little bit and cutting the grip in half.

No thanks!

What's with that dumb bump inside of the trigger guard on it and some other pistols anyway? Looks like a good way to end up slapping the trigger once your finger jumps the bump.

Actually, I think it looks better than the Glock 26/27. And it is way, way better than the XD compacts. I feel the XD compacts are the least aesthetically pleasing of the bunch.

That's one ugly gun!

Well, CCW are supposed to be ugly so we're not tempted to brag about owning one... ;)

I would have to rate them in this order as far as being pleasing to the eye.
1.Glock subcompacts
2.XD subcompact
3.Roadkill Possum
4.SW 99 subcompact

You guys make me laugh. It is a freaking CCW gun. If is made to be a size efficient concealable compact version of the regular gun.

If it is reliable, shoots where you point it, and has a good trigger, I could care less how ugly it is.

My gosh it is a plastic gun even! None of the plastic guns are pretty. I have a plastic Kimber. It is still ugly but it shoots really good. :p

I know how it preforms is more important than looks but doesn't the S+W look very off balance to you as though it would be very difficult to get a good grip? The ergonomics just don't look right to me.
