Every gun I have ever seen advertised by Steve Kramer has been ridiculously high. I have never bought a gun over the internet but I check out the sites once in a while and this guys outrageous prices really caught my attention. It makes me wonder, are there really THAT many stupid people or does he just like to go fishing?
 
Yeah, overnight shipping of a handgun through fed-ex is about $20 or so. No where near $75! I guess though if you are a fool willing to pay that kind of money though, well then you deserve to be ripped off since you seem to have way more dollars than sense.
 
Try getting this retard to ship to Alaska. He might charge $80 or so. We have a store in town called "Mountain View Sports." Walked in ONCE and looked around. They were charging FULL RETAIL for every single gun they had. They had them sitting on the shelves. Somebody HAD to have been buying them. I go back every once in a while to look. Never buy, don't care about the prices. I look, handle, fondle, work the action, hand the gun back and say "Thank you."

Bah, I saw a pawn shop asking $400 for a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with no rifling left at the muzzle.

It could be worth $500 though -- but they'd let it go for $400.

My local shop is a real mixed bag. Sometimes they will have a nice gun at a bargain price, then again, they might have a real pos at an outrageous price. And they rarely come down on the outrageous pos!:confused:
 
stans, does that shop sell consignment guns?

I ran into just such a thing at a little shop I used to frequent ... he'd have excellent prices on most guns, but then there would be a few beat up POS guns that where way overpriced and he would say he couldn't negotiate on them ... I asked why and he said they where "consignment guns" and that their owners had set the prices.

So, you take up their salesperson's time, you handle their goods, and you reward them by refusing to give them any business? Good show.
 
Not that I won't buy a gun. Perhaps their guns have chunks of gold imbedded in them. Maybe they are of a better quality than the guns others sell New In Box. How would I know unless I looked at them! Perhaps it's my morbid curiosity as to why they have such high prices on them. At any rate, I feel no remorse from looking at the guns and not buying. When they start feeling bad about Gouging and profiteering, I'll stop feeling bad about 'just shopping' in their fine establishment. BTW, I haven't been in there in about 5 years, maybe things have changed.

I prefer Wild West Guns myself. I've actually bought from them before and would return to do-so again.

Let's list stores that I haven't bought guns from in Anchorage... That would be one store long. Used to avoid RAL because of the jerk who ran the store, however he's moved on. Alaska Shooters Supply, Great Northern Guns, Northern Security, Badger Arms (of course) and Chimo as well. Virtually all were used guns as I can get new guns for myself.

If you had a car dealership, let's say Worthington Ford, that sold a truck for $25,000 and down the street another Ford Dealership sold the same exact truck for $20,000, where would you go? I'll tell you, I'd go to the more expensive dealership first and do the test drive, etc. Why? Well, maybe that $5,000 is worth it for the better service, etc.

I frankly can't imagine how much service you could get to make up for the price of that BERSA though!
 
Yet another great thing about capitalism, they will go out of business eventually. And if they don't, only fools suffer.
 
a few weeks ago i was at my local shop, checking out pump and lever action .22's. they've got good, knowledgable people working there who are helpful without being pushy. i'm starting to think it might not actually be a gun shop ;)

anyway, after looking at various rifles, we got to talking about the used long gun rack. seems there was a marlin 39a in there. good shape, but clearly used. not a darn thing special about it that either i or the staff could discern. the owner of the gun, in his infinite wisdom, had decided that the best price for it was...

Hey Badger Arms, do they have any NIB Colt Magnum Carry's? I'm willing to pay a finder's fee on a new model (assuming the asking price is at or near the suggested price).
 
I haven't seen one. They were made for less than a year and discontinued when Colt sold out. Last suggested reail was around $450. So, if you can find one for $450, good luck to you. Problem is, it's been discontinued for five years now. You coulda picked a better 'gotcha' example. Good try. You got me. You found a gun that is no longer selling for its 5-year-old suggested retail price. Good on ya.

Hey Badger Arms thanks for the link. I'm going to bid on the top one and if I get it for under five bills (that's my upper limit), fifty bucks is your's the pay period after the gun arrives. I've been offering a 10% finder's fee and if I can get the gun for that price, the finder's fee is your's.

PS: I'm assuming 'mint' means that it hasn't been fired.
 
I went to a gun show last month were a guy was asking $560 for a Beretta 3032 Tomcat......What a joke!! thats just wrong!!!drf
