Is this Possible?

I am planning on ordering a Yugo RPK barrel to install on my Egyptian Maadi AK parts kit. Being that this kit has a standard front trunion, is it possible to install the barrel?

Well first, the Yugo barrel is most likely between .905-.908. Get some calipers and check your Maadi Trunion to see where it falls. You will need .001"-.002" to properly press fit as well so make sure you account for that. Once you get that out of the way you have the issue of the other barrel parts that will need to fit and this will require the barrel to be turned down.

These guys used a Yugo M70 barrel in a Maadi with some success but the barrel had to be turned down in order to get the other barrel parts to fit.

Yeah, the barrel should fit the front trunnion, but it won't fit the gas block or sight block. You'll need to use Yugo RPK parts there or turn down the barrel.
