If your like me your more than likely can't find any .45 ACP anywhere. I can buy 9mm and .223/5.56 if I need or want to but not .45's. Anybody got any leads as who has some for sale.

Nope, I have plenty of ammo to last me for several years. I also stocked up on components and can roll my own when needed.

I have not bought any ammo in at least a year and I still shoot.

It pays to think ahead.

Keep checking Wally World on Tuesdays. Get in good with one of the people at the sporting goods counter and ask them when the shipments come in.

Walmart.
My local gun club.
Cabelas.
Bass Pro Shop.

In that order of pricing.

I can't find components. Stored rounds I have plenty of, likely enough to last me a good long while.

I've got enough .45 reloads to last me, but I'm now out of the .223/5.56! I'll need to re-up before a rifle dies of starvation.:what: I never thought that reloading for the AR would be a necessity. I'm planning on buying whatever components I can find to get setup to do so.

Once I shoot what I have to free up the brass, I've got enough components to make another 3,000 or so rounds. Before I run out of that I'll invest in a .22 upper for my 1911. It won't go hungry.

As far as buying, I've actually seen it on the shelf at a local walmart. It may have just been lucky, as they didn't seem to have any .380, which is what my friend was looking for.

no problems

with any of my calibers

i buy a year in advance for my stock. though a good deal may mean 2 or even a 3 year supply.
haven't bought any factory ammo in years so current scarcity hasn't affect me.

Found 5 boxes of Blazer Brass at the local wallyworld yesterday, bought 2 of them to throw on the pile. I'm good for a couple more years.

Took inventory the other day, and found I was dangerously low on .45. Spotted two WWB 100 packs at WalMart, eventually got an employee
with a key (telephoned the front desk, using the store phone.)

Told her "I'll take all of those there." Turns out there were 8 boxes way back there. Thought of getting all 8, but ended up getting only 3. "I'll leave the rest for the next guy," sez I.

Aren't I a Mensch?

(Now I need at least 500 more...)

Finding 45 ammo is easy, find 45 ammo that I will pay that much for is hard.

While I have plenty of food for mine, they're on a severely restricted diet. I can't find anything. Nothing at all. .45? Nope. 9mm? Nope. .32 Nope. .40? None. .38/.357? All gone.

The only thing I've been feeding lately are the .22 pistols and a couple of shotguns. Still (for now) available in my area.

My basement stockpile is now on reserve status. Don't know when I'm going to be able to replace it if I start using it up.

Funny enough, my last real range trip (other than the .22 pistols) was the week of the election (back in Nov) and all conversions up and down the firing line were about the upcoming effects of "O" being elected and a Democrat majority in Congress and how folks were "gonna start stocking up ASAP" -- looks like they've all been doing it. To the point that there's no ammo left for anyone.

This really bums me. Sure, I'm well supplied ... but I did mine a couple of boxes at a time over the last *decade*. Never once have I gone in and bought a pallete-load of ammo to the detriment of us other shoppers out here who can't find any.

Until we start seeing ammo flow again on the shop floors and store shelves, mine are on a *severely* restricted diet.
