I just heard an interview this morning and a converted terrorist was saying that the goal of the Islamic nation was to take over the US. HE also stated they were already in Canada and were in the process of taking over South America. In a few years he predicted that the Islamic flag would be flying over the White House. He further stated that Islamic people can lie if it is for the good of Islamic gain, in other words a piece treaty is meaningless and they will sign it knowing that they will break it. My question is how do most of you feel about that and do you think you would be in a position to go to arms or be slaves to the Islamic leaders?

Great thing, democracy, all they really need is enough votes and they could have control. History shows that is not the way the Islamic world takes control. I don't think they could ever take the U.S. by force and if they try I stand ready to assist in the defense of my family, state and country.

I believe the Islamics have about as much of a shot taking control of the US as I have winning the lottery. Very, very remote. It's good to have goals, but just because I'd like to be the president doesn't mean I stand a chance. Of course, I believe I have a better chance at that than the entire islamic community has at taking control of the US.

Um...Please show me what this "Islamic flag" is? Last time I heard, it was a RELIGION, not a country or alliance.
I think this is a case if "I heard this said from someone who said their cousin saw it on the internets."
Seriously. Yes, there's radical Islamists out there who want a world of dhimmitude for everyone else, and yes, they need to be bred out or eliminated completely as a threat to civilization.
But this whole idea is nonsense.

No surprise there. Of the majority of faiths I've examined over the years, most have as one of their goals the conversion of the worlds population to their way of thinking, either by witness or by the sword.
Establishing an American Calaphate via popular vote? About as likely as the Gou'uld Apothos returning to Earth and ruling the planet.

Manedvolk, the Islamic flag is green. The flag of Jihad is black (these were the flags that U.S. troops saw and were confused about during the Iraq Invasion in March-April 2003).

They do have the ability to cause some disruption, maybe even on a major scale. But I don't believe they have what it takes to "take over" the US.

It won't be pretty, and I think it will serve as fair warning to people here. Unfortunately, a lot of people there are going to die to serve as that warning. Mostly innocent British civilians caught in everything from suicide bombs to kidnappings. The next incidents will likely be non-islamic British women being insulted or beaten and called names...or raped...for not wearing a head covering. That's already happened in Australia, with angry Islamists berating and insulting non-headcovered women in public.
Next, they'll allow sharia law in Muslim dominated areas, as the furious Muslims there are demanding. Then it will get interesting.

Some Islamic factions have been trying to take over the World (as have some Christian factions) for hundreds of years. Why should we expect this to happen in a few years?
The fracturing of Islam is their greatest downfall right now. Until they get Sunnis, Shiites, etc to get along (or one becomes clearly dominant), there will never be an expanding Islamic State.

The best hope for the rest of the world is that they do NOT get along, but continue to reduce their own numbers through attrition due to interfaction fighting.
