Isn't it about time for the laser prices to begin to come down?

It's like a lot of other technologies... after a while, the price comes down. Best example would be laptops - just in the past year have laptop prices come down so much that they can be bought as readily as a desktop. In the same way, I'd expect the price of laser sighting systems to be lower by now, but they're still generally over $200. I mean, those little cheap laser pointers can be bought at Seven Elevens. (Yes I do realize they're not the same quality as laser sight systems)

Anybody know something about this?

I think its because if you want a high quality laser that WORKS, CT is the only company there is. Lasergrips are where its at.

And... no other company has the selection, and quality of the laser not to mention attractive grips.

I think its a lack of competition.

My CT grips for the P01 fit like a GLOVE.
 
There are cheaper lasers available. I've got a bunch. Of course all they are good for is playing with the cats.

It's simple, if a laser the quality of the Crimson Trace could be made and sold cheaper, someone would be doing it.
Apparently Crimson Trace is making them for a reasonable price.
I have six that continue to do the job just fine.
A new shooter was giving one of them a test drive last Sunday.:)

I bought a (less expensive) Laser Max to try it out. Cheap made and poor design. I gave it to a friend to play with.

The laser on the Streamlight LTR-2 is apparently good quality. I have them on everything from 22 pistols, to rifles, to shotguns and they work trouble free.
