Like the title says, I got a Carcano M38 7.35 Short Rifle in a trade. All matching and in really good condition. Only problem is that someone cut the stock just in front of the rear band. The rest of the stock is in great shape and the numbers match the receiver. I have the hardware sourced. My plan is to search out a busted or a take off stock, remove the fore end and splice it to the original stock underneath the rear band to hide the seam using the grove on the inside to reinforce with a three-sided plate and the front band to secure it all in place.
