I've loaded around 1000 shells using WAA12 wads with good results though later I found out they weren't ideal for the 1oz loads I was putting in them. The last time I bought more wads, I tried a sack of WAA12SL wads which are supposed to ideal for 1oz loads. After loading with them, I'm having issues with them pushing my crimps back out after about 5 minutes.

My loads are exactly as recommended on the Hodgdon website, so I'm confused.
Win AA HS hulls
18.5 Gr Clays
1oz 8 shot
WAA12SL wad (well actually CB equivalent)

Does anybody have any experience with this issue?

You most likely need more wad pressure to pre-collapse the cushion section of the wad. Now, I know somebody is going to say,,,---"you don't need wad pressure with one-piece plastic wads". True, BUT the wad does have to contact the powder. Sometimes, it has to be compressed enough to start to collapse the cushioning section of the wad. That would give you a bit more room for the payload, then the crimp won't pop open.

Another thing, IF you can adjust the final crimp station, the center section that forms the dished portion of the crimp needs to be adjusted down just a bit. That allows the crimp to be "locked in" more.

Ok, I was a little afraid of mooshing the wad too much. Also, I've got a lee load-all for now, but I plan on upgrading to a sizemaster so I'll have more accurate control of the seating pressure and crimp depth. (and that little sizing collet on the lee grinds my gears)

Thanks.

I've found three "built in" stop points in my use of Load-All II's when it comes to wad pressure- which I still use setup for specific loads despite having long since purchased several MECs for bulking more-used loads out.

Stop one is when you feel the wad bottom out.
Stop two, with many combos but not all, put the base sizing ring (w/o shell) in its place which stops the press at a point past "feel" but not bottomed out.
Stop three, bottoming the press full-out until it stops (no sizing ring stopper).

To get "adjustability" when I was using the load-all's for all my loads, I just used whichever the three stops (sometimes two only) resulted in the proper crimp depth/hold.

Hope this helps.
