+1 to not shooting the bear if its not trying to eat you, some groceries and a screen door are no big deal. Shooting animals inside is likely to do more damage and make more mess.. my evidence being "the bloody mess". I wasn't there and like obama i don't know all the details but i think there was a better way. Black bears are just curious very timid and run away quickly.. at least the ones i've seen are
