I can recommend the Benelli brand, but that's the only one I have experience with. I owned a Benelli M3 Super 90 Combat, black synthetic stock with pistol grip and ghost ring sights, full length. A friend of mine said that since it's a tactical shotgun, the bore is optimized for slugs and double ought buck. It shot slugs very accurately right out of the box. Another thing to consider is that the U.S. Marine Corps adopted the Benelli shot gun of similar design for their troops, it's called the M1014 and has a telescoping stock and a short picatinny rail in front of the rear sight, and an extended magazine tube if I remember correctly.
However, I'm only referring to a tactical shotgun. Depending on what your needs are, for instance if you're talking about hunting, I don't know which would be best.
In addition the M3/M1014 shotgun can easily switch from pump to semi auto and back with a little rotating toggle at the end of the foregrip - this is one of the only legit tactical shotguns I know of that can do that. The only other one I've owned that could do that was the Franchi SPAS 12. However, the SPAS method of switching between pump and semi was a little bit more involved, a bit more complicated. I liked the magazine capacity of the SPAS and the low felt recoil because of the spring seeming to absorb most of it, plus the gun is a little heavier. The M3 is very light, solid, and dynamic, it almost feels like a baseball bat in your hands. The SPAS, which is French made by the way, is larger and has much more parts.
