I DON'T allways get good deals:( and this was 'one of those days' ! I bought , for $500 a reblued Ithaca 1911 today. Unfortunatley the owner polished , to a mirror finish, a big funnel into the barrel and feed ramp, ditto the mag well opening.:uhoh: . I checked the gun over for evrything else, but really was not looking for this. Also there is a higher than original post front sight that looks silver soldered in. Everything else looked real good except the early Pachmeyer grips which of course I will lose.Anyway, if it functions well I guess I can live with it, I WAS gonna have it reparked to have a nice WW2 1911a1, but it will take a pretty slick gunsmith to do that with the metal removal!
I wanted a WW2 1911a1 and whipped out the $$ $ before seeing the details that drastic lower this guns potential value.

If its a good shooter, you did OK. Its still a piece from days long gone. Just think where and what all that gun has been through.:)

Does your gun have an adjustable Micro sight and a light spring with a stippled front strap?
