ithaca 37 question

Can you take any 12 ga ithaca m37 receiver and mate it with another m37 12 ga barrel? Or is there going to be fitting problems?

Prior to the 70's all model 37's had fitted barrels that are NOT interchangeable with other recievers. I don't know the exact year or serial number where they become interchangeable.

If you haven't already, look up your serial number first and see how old your gun is, and then you may be able to find an answer your question.

Below serial number 855,000 all barrels are fitted to that specific receiver and are not interchangeable with other guns. Later make barrels will not fit either.
