I am working on a Ithaca 37 20ga Deerslayer shotgun. It's in need of a new forend and stock but I am having a hard time locating a set.:banghead: Will a 12ga stock set work on a 20ga shotgun?

I have been checking Ebay, Numrich, gun auction sites and ran a Google search but with no luck. If anybody can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

A 12 or 16ga forend will not fit your 20ga Deerslayer. The inside diameters are different for fitting around the magazine tube, plus it depends on the year your shotgun was made since some are different lengths. And I am almost posititve that the stocks are not interchangeable either.

I am surprised that Numrich Arms does not have stocks and forends for your Mod 37? I purchased a forend for my 16ga about a year ago and I remember seeing 20ga's availiable. They could of sold out by now especially since Ithaca Gun Company went belly up in May.

To answer all your questions and hopefully locate a forend and stock contact Diamond Gunsmithing in Ithaca, NY. The owner Les Hovencamp worked as Ithaca's head gunsmith for 28 years and he has a good supply of parts on hand. Give him a call. Good luck.
