Recently I came into ownership of an Ithaca 72A rifle in .22LR. Been doing my research on the gun and found several postings about the manufacturer in West Germany and it being the predecessor to the present Henry lever guns etc.

I still cannot find anything describing the difference between a model 72 and the 72A? I do know my gun does not appear to have the adjustable screw around the trigger I read about. Maybe that is the difference?

I would also appreciate a manual if anyone has an electronic copy.

Thanks

I didn't hear anything from you THR buddies, but I pressed on anyways.

Been working on this old Ithaca 72A. Complete disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and test firing ended well. It is in fact almost an exact copy of the Henry H001 rifle internally. The H001 reassembly video on the Henry website was spot on accurate for this rifle as well. Lessons learned and a clean functioning firearm make the world livable again until the next old gun I find needs attention.
