It's ironic...

I think the look of those big 'ol bores is super intimidating, especially in the first pic!

I cant wait to pick up a SRH in .454!

I never thought about it but same here in a different platform/caliber.

I have two .44 S&W Special revolvers but neither is a Smith. Charter Arms, both.

Additional ironies now that I think about it:

I have a .45 Automatic Colt Pistol calibered revolver made by S&W.

.22 Long Rifle handgun... huh?

Both a Browning Hi Power pistol and High Power rifle with nothing else in common.

9mm Para-Bellum pistols which have only been made for the civilian. More a bunch of 9mm Para-pax, er um.

The ironies, paradoxes and contradictions abound.

Thanks Saxon, now I'll be dwelling on this like a puzzle.;)

Saxon Pig, I have similar tastes in revolvers. I have a couple of Armi Jager clones of the Model P and a S&W 25-5. Never felt the need for a "real" Colt.

That is not ironic. Colt Manufacturing have their noses in "Big Daddys" **** and no longer seem to care about sales to private citizens. With: US Firearms, S&W, Ruger, Freedom Arms,..... we do not need them. I will not shed a tear when they go away.

Somehow Saxon I knew you would have a pristine Smith in that load. I would show my Ruger BH 45 LC but it has been well used. In fact I just laid it on my boots so I can be saddled up in time after church. Good day to all and God bless.

My first .45Colt was a Colt, this New Frontier.

My second was this custom Ruger:

My third was a new Winchester 1892 Trapper (no pics).

My fourth was this USPFA:

Since then, the cartridge has sort of fell from favor.
