Was that the entire bank vault or something like a safe deposit addon?

Aiabdj;

(Tongue very firmly in cheek) You did tell the new owners that they had to hook up that cable hangin' down the side of the safe didn't you? You know, so the gummint can monitor the contents?

Is that better than the UL "RSC" listing?

It's an oddball. E rating, 1" plate all the way around. The company that built it was well known for building TL rated plate safes. Even though it's not TL rated, it obviously met the overnight storage requirements set forth by the FDIC, at least in the amounts they were keeping on hand.

Hey Frank, bring it by my house as soon as the ground dries up.

We don't need to wait for the ground to dry. I can have it craned right over the house and up to the back door. ;)

That was the temporary "vault" while the new bank was being constructed. I have no idea why they needed something that large. I suppose they may have had safe deposit boxes in it at some point.

No need for the monitoring. The government gives me a $5 gift card for every gun owner that I turn in. ;)
