Little over 12 hours 'til legal shooting light here in the Illinois firearms season!

Weather looks ideal here in So. IL. Cold and light NW winds forecast for Fri. AM. Gonna be good.

I've seen more, bigger bucks this year than any time in the past 15 years or so. I'm excited, like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Good luck to all the other Illinois (and other) hunters out there.

Lucky bastard.
I'm in the Sierra Nevada mountains, where we normally have a few feet here by now. Instead it's been warm and sunny for quite awhile. Instead of thinking about snowboarding, i'm thinkin about BBQ'ing. It's snowed a few times already this year, but it melts off in a day or so.

Makes you wonder about this whole global warming thing - i'll tell ya.
