If i can't go with russia's, bulgarians imo are the next best, i'll probably end up getting a romanian or hungarian though...

and for some reason it didn't let me do a poll, so disregard that part...

I have an Inter Arms AK, (gasp, US made!) that is pretty darned fantastic, that'd be my vote in the non existent poll.

I love my Romanian WASR10/63 from CIA. Many of the parts on that gun are new Tapco parts. The Tapco trigger is fantastic, better than my AR-15 trigger. I know for sure it has a new bolt/piston rod, handle, trigger, muzzle break, and recoil spring. The rifling is in great condition as well. Got it for $469.

I have a one Norinco and the rest are DIY from AMD-65 parts kits ... they're just AK's; as long as it works don't sweat the small stuff.

i have an arsenal sgl31 that i love. I plan on getting the sgl21 in a month or two as well. You cant go wrong with the russian ones, but you will pay more

for me theres no "Best AK47" dont even care if its made in russia, my new romy m10 is not the best but i purchased it over any saiga/arsenal, simply for what im looking for in a brand new un-converted ak type variant at a really good price

I love my Russian Saiga... Converted it myself using parts I got to pick myself, so I got the gun I wanted. Cost wasn't at a premium, I've probably got ~$200 less in my gun vs. an Arsenal Saiga built with the same parts.

I like my 7.62x51 Super Vepr. Never had any other kinds of AK`s in my closet...

hedning very nice, dang i would love to get a stock like that for my vepr. the supers are top notch quality built type variants based on the ak platform

That VEPR Super sure is nice looking! I think the old pre ban Valmets were the best, and although the Mitchell imported Yugo series were rugged as were the Poly Legends, I'll take a Feg made pre ban any day! I put the "upper" from cherry AMD 63 kits on my 2 and call it perfect. The Bulgy ones from the early 90s were real nice too BTW.

How is an almost hair trigger on an AK platform fantastic?

It's definitely not a hair trigger. The trigger pull is still longer than the AR, but much smoother and a bit lighter.

3 way tie for me... Golani as my 3-gun rifle, Saiga 12 for 3-gun shotgun and clays and home defense and Saiga .308 for hunting...

I got some SAR-1's, and despite all the Century bashing, they work. Plus, anything they fubar'd is replaceable. Got a build planned, I'll go with either a Rom Ak47 or a Bul Ak74 ... undecided, but like it was said before, I don't think it matters.

The Chinese AKs (Norincos, Polytechs and Mak 90s) are up there in quality with the Russian and Bulgarians.

Which AR trigger? There is a huge difference in the Tapco AK triggers i've pulled than with that of my Colt and other standard ARs i've run. For the sake of disclosure i've only shot Tapco single hook so couldn't say if double hook is different.

I have an interarms in 762x39.
A converted sagia and a Wasr3 in 556.
Honestly the wasr is my favorite ak to shoot. Mags are 30 bucks a pop only negative thing i have to say about the rifle.

I have a CIA wasr-10, it has been flawless, now my friend bought one used promags and his was jamming. Let him use one of my tapco mags and one of my russian 30 rounders and no jams. Get good mags and you will have no problems with a wasr-10, exept maybe a canted front sight pin. It is easy to fix with a pair of needle nose plyers and some hand strength. Don't believe the youtube crap, hillbilly's and morons always buy the cheapest mags they can find and then blame the weapon. Ask anyone with an ar-15 how it works with cheap crappy mags.
