I took my newly acquired Python to the range for the first time last night. I only brought 100 rounds w/ me. I knew it needed a good cleaning and I wasn't 100% sure if I'd like the trigger pull. I bought it because the older Python has been on my wish list since my wish list was first conceived.
Anyway, I burned through the 100 rounds in just 20 minutes & wished I had brought more. The trigger (dare I say it)...is what a revolver's trigger is suppose to be like...smooth - as - budduh!
Anyway, I'm now a huge proponent of older Colt Pythons and their triggers. Wheelgun nirvana :D

Congrat's 10-Ring My Friend-

Over the year's I've owned many of the older Colt Pythons; but didn't
have sense enough too keep any of 'em; preferring the lightning smooth
action of the Smith K-frames instead. All of them were good shooter's,
and the 6" barrel guns loved my handload's, using the old Speer 146
grain half-jacketed bullets. As I remember, these proved to be the
most accurate out of the longer barrel Colt's~! Enjoy:cool: :D

Thanks Dan! THis is one gun I've wanted but gave up on having because I never saw one of this quality being sold & the newer ones just didn't cut the mustard...this one's a keeper!
