Breifly looked at the IJ version of the beretta single shot today,( I am guessing Turkish branded IJ by the Henry folks?)

They had an 18-20 inch (eyeball needs recalibration) 20 gauge in the rack. It sure seemed handy, but man was it light weight. I am thinking I might have to really WANT to shoot something to set off a 3 inch 20 gauge shell in that thing.

I was in a hurry and did not get it folded and all. The big thing was it was $139 on the ticket. Makes me wonder if I should stop looking for a serviceable swingle shot to apply hacksaw to.

On the other hand I do not like the way the images of all the various labeled models of this gun "fold" They appear to be a lot bulkier folded than say and H&R or Winchester broken down.

Thoughts on these guns are welcome.

Why would you even consider shooting a 3" shell in it? That is not what it was intended for..............

Kahn of Turkey manufactures a copy of the Beretta single shot. The Midland Backpack is made by Kahn.

Yeah, they do not fold quite in half, more of a chicken wing affair. The advantage is that you do not have to put the gun together after you withdraw it from your luggage.

I have the Beretta that set the pattern for guns of the kind, same deal, I wish it folded flatter. It is a very convenient little gun none the less.

There is another thread going on about Midland-branded folding Turkish one-shooters: https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/midland-backpack-one-shooter.828700/
