I am going to start shooting my Smith 10-6 4†barrel in IDPA (as practice for CCW, not as a game) in the next few months and I am looking for a good IWB holster as well as method of carrying the two Safariland C-2 speedloaders I have.

I know that a 4†square butt K frame isn’t the best concealment piece, but I really like it and I want to get some trigger time with it. I would really prefer to shoot my M60-4, but I am pretty sure it falls into the BUG category, and can’t be used as a “regular†IDPA gun.

I have looked at the Revolver Texas Heritage IWB from Tucker Gunleather, are their any other leather IWB holsters for revolvers out there?

Newdude,
You would be hard pressed to find a better rig than the one done by Tucker Gunleather...REvolver IWB'S are gonna be scarce these days and tend to command a premium at times...

Get the Heritage and go forth and slay demons

I’ve had very good experiences with Milt Sparks Summer Specials with both K frames and N frames. I find that round butts conceal and handle a bit better for me, but good stocks will work wonders.

In 1983 I purchased a Milt Sparks Summer Special for a Gold Cup that I wore as a Deputy Sheriff. Still have it today and it is still in service.

Summer Special worth the wait and the price wheelie or square gun.

Thanks for all of the advice. My only concern about the Tucker holster is the fact that it isn’t reinforced at top, and I am concerned that it will “close†when I draw. I am planning on calling both Tucker and Milt Sparks and ask a few questions about the holsters.

Anyone have any advice on carrying speed loaders?

I know a couple of OF retired cops who still carry 4" k frames. They carried them for 20-30 years on the job and see no reason to change now.

Look at Kramer IWB. It is reinforced.

I think they carry a Bianchi speed strip for a reload.
