I shoot a CZ 527 in a 22 Hornet 223, and a 17 Rem. And am seriously thinking about buying 2 of the Calhoon single shot magizines 1 for the 22 Hornet , and 1 for the 223 & 17Rem I have been told that the 223 and 17 Rem use the same one. So I can seat the 40 gr V-Maxs, Blitzkings, and BT`s out futher in 22 Hornet. and to just seat the bullets farther out in the 223 & 17 Rem. Can any one give me any first knowledge of using one of these single shot magazines and did it improve your rifles accuracy. Am I on the right track or am I just spining my wheels. Thanks In Advance.

Technically, the items are not magazines, they are single loading enhancement devices.
That said, devices such as these offer the advantages of allowing special loadings and consistency of feed.

A lot single shot adapters are used with the CZ rimfires, mainly because they do away with the chance of shaving lead from the bullet causing accuracy problems. Also it is easier to set up a rhythm of shooting when loading one at a time rather than shooting 5 or 10 then reloading.

As far as where to find them, I make my own as do a lot of other folks. It takes about 15 min with a piece of scrap wood, and performs as good as the factory SST's
