There is an older Japan model Weaver Classic V7 that was made and sold about 10 years ago. I think this line was also rebadged as a Bushnell sometimes. Duplex reticle.
I am thinking about throwing one on a 16" free float AR in 5.56 for targets, plinking, coyotes out to 300 yds. max. Good enough scope for that? Or are we thinking 3X9 power. Thanks.

The 90-2000V series are decent scopes, i buy them when i get em in the 100-125 range. It will serve just fine as a hunting optic, 2-7x should be plenty of magnification

I noticed when I compared to a vx1 2-7, that the weaver had more magnification at 7X. So I dont know who is more "true" 7X but the weaver is nice

Yeah ive seen two of the exact same scopes, both focused to my eye, have apparently different magnification.

I'll gamble on most older scopes that are made in japan, recently bought an old Weaver scope that looked beat to heck but has good glass and was super cheap. Fortunately it went on an old vintage rifle that looked 'less than mint' so they paired up well.
