jc higgins model 10 ejector

I have a model 10 jc higgins 12 ga bolt action (583.13).

I have the parts ordered for the ejector on the bolt. I have been looking at the drawing and at my bolt and cannot see what holds the ejectors to the bolt?

There is a spring and plunger with the ejector on each side of the bolt in the drawing. The ejector has a notch in it and I was wondering if the spring tension on the plunger is what holds it in place or am I missing something else?

I suspect tht when you pull the bolt head off you will find that they just fit in a slot in the body. Those are extractors, not ejectors.

A lot of the JC Higgins and old Mossberg 500 A/B parts are the same when it come to extractors and ejectors.
