I noticed that he has several of his books for sale on CD, for a great price (the catch being that they are not printable - that version costs more). Anyway, has anyone seen his material or taken classes from him? How does he rate as an information source?

Edit: His website is here: http://www.marksmans.com/sys-tmpl/door/

Jim is an excellent instructor, with stellar reviews from many members of the API List, and endorsements from other instructors such as Randy Cain, Jim Higginbotham, etc. who are members of the List. His manuals are also very good indeed (I helped proofread a couple of them, and I know them well). Highly recommended, and a good investment.

I'll second Preacherman's recommendation. I sponsored Jim's Urban Carbine Urban Carbine Course in September of 2000. Jim has an uncanny ability to diagnose and fix problems shooters are having.

His manuals are a bargain at their normal price. I have all of his manuals, both in hard copy and on CD-ROM. There is nothing like them out there. A search should bring up some reviews of the new shotgun manual and the new carbine manual that I posted here.

I have taken classes of his and have some of his books. He diagnosed and fixed a problem I had with my pistol shooting, which got messed up following an extended period of shotgunning. He even found some problems I didn't know I had. He is also a fun guy to be around, just don't ask him about aliens.:D

His books are the best around, but not a substitute for classes.

Ian,

I bought two of his books based completely on the titles. They are well worth the price, and more IMO.
