We're in Bend, Oregon covering the USPSA Limited and Open Nationals. The
Limited title has been claimed once again by last year's defending champ, Rob
Leatham.

We've posted a short summary and photos on the www.ShootingUSA.com website.

USPSA National Championship coverage appears exclusively on Shooting USA
Television.

Be sure you're friends are signed up to receive messages on show times and
subjects as we get closer to the debut of Shooting USA.

Regards from Bend, OR,

Jim Scoutten

As long as the show is on a red-headed step child of a channel, they might as well be on Mars :banghead:

The footage of the USPSA match on American Shooter was, (how shall I put this ???) another RERUN of a RERUN ..... I figure Shooting USA will be scheduled on Sunday nights between the re-broadcasts of the Bad Bulls and the Rodeo Clowns Who Loved Them and Lance Armstrong Revisits the 10 Most Boring Moments of The Tour Du Jour. Meanwhile the Benelli Infomercials have had some interesting Texas hog hunts. Oh Wait ! That's Benelli's American Safari. At any rate maybe Scouten's just tryin' to whet our appetites a bit.

Just took a look at Shooting U.S.A. web site. Ah, how will that be any different than his other show?

Is it gonna be on OLN, aka The Bicycle Racing Network?

No offense against bicylcle racing, but the past 10 times I've surfed through OLN (usually on the weekend) theres some European guy broadcasting a bicylce race!

OK Jim...

I've kept my expensive Dish Network package because I want to see Shooting USA. Forget all those movies that I don't want to watch. Can't watch another American Shooter rerun.

Does anyone know if this is a done deal, or should we be writing the network?

Bring it on Jim...

That would be Phil Ligget. I wish I had your luck. Every time I hit OLN I get lame fishing or bird hunting shows.

the 10 Most Boring Moments of The Tour Du Jour.
Are you trying to say that shooting competitions are exciting? I really hope not.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets tired of OLN's programming. I love to get up early on Saturday and Sunday, brew my coffee, sit down and turn on OLN. Then, to my dismay there is either some guy fishing in the warm waters of the Keys in Florida, (it's autumn here dammit and I want hunting programs, not summer time fishing in some ocean), or else a show about RV'ing, Tour de Lance, or the worst - Rodeo.

Just once I'd like to settle into my chair, sip my coffee and watch a few programs on shotguns, upland bird hunting, and topics on guns in general. Oh, and since I'm on a rant... that Bob guy who does all the trick shooting and quick draws at the end of American Shooter, ... he needs to stop cheating. :D

Get TIVO then you can watch all that and whatever else you want, whenver you want. We just got DirectTV + TIVO a couple months ago and it's amazing. After you get it setup to record the stuff you want it's almost like video on demand all the time and fast forward through all the commercials.

If you have Dish or Direct TV, I don't see why you aren't watching the Outdoor Channel, at least part of the time.

Note, this is not OLN.

Lots of hunting, and a few per gun shows. Guns & Ammo TV is on now with a lot of pure gun stuff.

Beginning in January, on The Outdoor Channel, there will be a show called "The Shooting Gallery" which will feature a lot of fast-action, high-speed, low-drag, pistol, rifle, subgun stuff. Should be a hoot.

If you have Dish or Direct TV, you can add The Outdoor Channel for $1.95 a month, if you ask for it "a la carte."

I'm lucky. Our local cable company has both OLN and The Outdoor Channel. I like having choices.

I think OLN got the world record for broadcasting 19 (nineteen!) CONSECUTIVE HOURS of Tour de France! The owner(s) have to be be total bicycle freaks!

Too bad, my cable company doesn't provide the outdoor-channel (yet).

We'll see if Jim's show will be handled like TNN (hide and seek, vanish and appear).
