Job loss in MN

I would love to join a Minnesota shoot.

My school called me last week while I was gone to tell me about a job offer later that week, I was gone and did not have a resume ready. That sucked I was not expecting job offers this soon as a programmer.

BPR is a nice cheap indoor place to shoot. 25 yards ranges, rentals, free usage off hearing and eye protection, bring your own ammo, targets or buy there. http://www.bvpistol.com The price is $8 for one person with one gun, +$4 if you bring more than one gun, +$4 if you bring another person. Handgun calibers only, rifles in HG caliber is ok.

Just to dredge up an old thread, I have found full-time employment with a downtown employer.

Thanks to all who gave me suggestions and encouragement. It is much appreciated.

Good luck. The son of a guy at church was out of work up there for 2 years. Database geek in Minneapolis.

I"ll start a thread about a MN get together in General Gun Discussion, not sure where else to put it.

Wintermute 76....The Rallying Point is the place to put it.

Matt Payne, bad news about the job, but everything happens for a reason...
Everything will work out fine for you and goodlluck with that new little one.:)

Congratulations on the new job Matt. I have the good fortune to have been continously employed since the age of 19 (35 currently) and being in I/T myself I have worried about restructuring and layoffs myself at times. Good luck, keep working and keep shooting.

So, just to keep this on topic, what gun are you going to treat yourself to in celebration?

Well, I'd like to say I'll buy a Kahr carry gun, but the truth is that I'm making a lot less than I used to, so I will be spending all my money on silly things like food, mortgage payments, and many, many diapers.

:(
