I just landed a Don Hume Jordan to go with a S&W Model 15-4 the other day. It has been a pretty good holster to just beat around town with. The gun and holster look good together in my opinion. How is y'all's experience with these holsters been thru the years?

I don't have one but it looks just about perfect for a Combat Masterpiece.

Over my career I carried a 6" model in a breakfront, a 4" model 13 in a highway patrol swivel and finally a county issued 4" model 66 in a county issued Jordan holster. Of all I carried the Jordan was the most comfortable. I still a Jordan I carry my model 15 in. It is a great holster.

Back when I carried a revolver (1978-1984 ish). The Jordan holster is pretty much all I used. I used the thumb snap version though. It's a good solid holster. I worked security back then, so I stood more than sat. When I became a Police Officer, I went high ride. And a 1911. The high ride is really better in a car for me.

It's hard to really get that classic elbow on the gun butt look with a high ride though.

:)

I used some variation of the Jordan holster for my career in LE. It was issued by my Dept. As a range officer, I could carry whatever I wanted. I found the Jordan to be fine for what we needed.

I used them with a Sam Browne belt when I worked for both Burns and Pinkerton's Security back in the day.

Worked well.

Fine looking combo you got there. I like the magna stocks with the T-Grip myself.

I carried the Jordan holster on my duty rig with either a S&W model 15 or a model 19. It has enough cant to enable an easy draw, and will allow room for a jacket between the revolver and the shank of the holster.

I still own one that I keep for range use. It's a great holster!

HA! As a matter of fact Bill Jordan thought that was unprofessional and looked bad to the public, he felt the same about a loose gun belt as well. Were you alluding to this in your post, have you read "No Second Place Winner" too? ;)

I'm wanting to get a Jordan holster for my Ruger GP-100 4" half lug stainless KGPF-340... PROBLEM IS I DON'T OWN ONE YET!

But when I do, I know exactly what it will ride in on my hip. I LOVE those Jordan holsters! :D
