Some background. The club I belong to has a fairly well established Jr. Rifle program ($20 per kid). The person who runs it has gone through the CMP schools, he went to NC last year for training and has a CMP safety instructor certificate(?). He takes the kids to the CMP air rifle center weekly for practice and monthly for matches, to Ohio State for monthly matches and to other area clubs for matches. Mostly they do three position air rifle in the fall and winter and rimfire sporter in the summer (about twenty kids). Some of the older kids shoot in our high power and 300 yard matches also. He also runs all the raffles, dinners and fund raising for the program. I'm looking for input on how other clubs run their programs, how do you reimburse for gas (the irs only allows 14¢ per mile for charitable orgs which doesn't cover actual costs.), what kind of fund raisers do you have?
