Tonight at work, I was listening to QFM96. Its just an average 60's/70's rock & roll station out of Columbus OH.

While listening from 3:00PM till about 10:45PM... NO LESS THEN 14 Anti-Bush commercials!! ( My friend and I counted them.)

I did not say "Pro Kerry", or "Vote for Kerry" commercials, I mean hatefull, spitefull, and base attacks on Bush. Attacks on his policies, his religion, gas prices.. ( WTH??? isn't it the Dems that wont allow the drilling to begin in Alaska????) While at the same time accusing him of "Making America MORE dependant on "Middle East Oil".

I guess the push is on here in OH. Sad to say, I meet way too many brain-washed walking spouters of the leftist media.

I mean if Dan Rather said it, it must be true... Right???

(edit to add: NOT ONE Pro-BUSH ad in the same time span.)

Interesting.

I heard last night that the 527 orgs (moveon.org, etc) were going to dump a bazillion dollars into Ohio. The law is structured such that they can't promote their candidate but they can SAVAGE the opponent.

The GOP has their 527 groups as well, but last I heard they were being outspent but a huge margin. 85% of the 527 donations were going to groups with an anti-Bush slant.

Don't you just love McCain-Feingold?

Rick

Yeah, Ohio may be the Florida of the 2000 elections. Then again, so may Florida and half a dozen other states. Except this time it will be worse, especially if Kerry is declared the loser. Anyone want to bet we won't know until December who actually won the election? I don't know, seems like elections just aren't as "honorable" as they used to be, in my lifetime anyway, and it's getting worse.

Maybe the over-the-top Anti-Bush ads explains Bush's recent gain in the Ohio polls. Let the crazy folks do their thing.

The legal eagles can only really tie up the election if one of two things happens:

1. There is an egregious problem with people exercising their franchise.

2. The contest is really really really really really close.

With a Florida scenario being like betting on a lightning strike, my vote goes to #1 being the issue de jour, with all sorts of contrived and percieved abuses.

Better not have any squad cars parked near a polling place.

There was a whole lot of "Bush lied... About the war, the economy, job loss, oil, gas prices, tax credits, WMD's etc" Then there was the flood of "Soldiers RIPPED from their homes", "beheadings", "Our sons and daughters in danger". Followed by: "And our children are in danger even here.... lack of Govt. funds for Education, Healthcare, and a dwindiling economy".

I don't even know what point to start on... Maybe Kerry's statement that Saddam not only had, but had used WMD's? And "Was a threat to the U.S. and other countries?? (i'm old before my time, So I may be mixing Kerry's, Hillery's and Kennedy's quotes together, BUT they were all in agreement.)

I guess my point in this is... How do you stop a lie, when you have a voice, but they have the ears?

Think about that for a moment.

PS Yes I "lurk" more then I post, but it's more that I belive that there are many here that are more articulate then me, and the fact that I just can't seem to type as fast as the people I agree with...

It's that stinkin' Soros whose behind most of this anti Bush cr*p. He along with a
host of other big buck libs are doing all they can to make the Pres out to be
some sort of crazy..That's wrong.

Soros is indicative of the problem, but not the source of the problem.
To put it another way, it's more the fault of the preachers of "All Conservatism is evil" then the brain-washed bankroller who pays for them to be heard.

To put it even MORE bluntly, did you ever meet a Liberal, or a Democrat that didn't think if they could just decide whats best for you, you would be better off?

Ya got me fair & square..Never have met a Lib that figured what they knew was
much better for me than what I know. Still they haven't offered to pay any of
my bills, give free clothes, eats, or other goodies to me. But they'll happily preach
their manifesto. However here's a bit of bright llite against the Darkside's media blitz..

Yeah, Ohio may be the Florida of the 2000 elections.
Consider Franklin County, Ohio. With 815,000 citizens over the age of 18 and thus, eligible to vote, they have, at last count, around 845,000 registered voters. :scrutiny:

HankB - Do you have a link to the source of that info?

"Consider Franklin County, Ohio. With 815,000 citizens over the age of 18 and thus, eligible to vote, they have, at last count, around 845,000 registered voters."

The thing that bugs me about Soros is here is a guy who made billions of dollars destroying economies by betting against various nation's currencies (to include the United Kingdom). Why is he donating millions to Kerry?

I don't buy his claims of ideology. The United States would be pretty much the top prize in currency speculation and manipulation, though it would be pretty ugly for everyone but Soros and a few select cronies if he won his prize.

Here's some more stuff for you Ohio boys. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/10/26/114551.shtml This is on the voter fraud.

Here's a post from a guy that got TWO ballots.
This is a first-hand report from me....no second or third party matter. My wife and I already voted by absentee ballot because we are going to be in Hawaii. We voted last week. I have, at this moment, a second set of absentee ballots in my hand. They were delivered yesterday. One we opened, and one we didn't open. They have barcoded, serialized labels with the Barcodes and address printed in black ink, and sequential serial numbers and names printed in purple ink on the outside enveolpe. Inside there is a ballot, a ballot envelope (with coded and serialized label). Places for with spaces for "INITIALS OF TWO INSPECTORS WHO HAVE CHECKED VOTER'S POLL RECORD". All things in order. Why?

There's a letter with the ballots. It says that these are REVISED BALLOTS (due to a recent court decision) They say that if you have already mailed the old ballot they will destroy it when they receive the new ballot. What is really interesting is that there are additional codes on the ballot envelope that identify my Congressional District, Senate District, Assembly District and Legislative District. It also has the letter REP (for Republican?) and Isl (for Long Island?).

Now, lemme see: If I am smart enough to mail in the second ballot AND they have plans to destroy ballots, maybe they could then destroy my TWO ballots and keep somebody's pair of Democrat Ballots. And the numbers balance because two ballots were destroyed.

So instead of one Kerry Vote negating one Bush vote for a net gain of ZERO, they now (probably) have TWO Kerry votes. And it doesn't matter that the original and revised ballots are different, the Bush/Kerry parts are unchanged. And because some people will not return the revised ballots because they are wherever they were going that caused them to absentee vote in the first place, there will be a mix of original and revised ballots counted.

Isn't THAT special!
