Curious if Glock might make an AR-15 style weapon. I'm certainly not as knowledgeable about guns as most folks here, but seems like a logical move to me. As much as I like our two Glocks, I'd certainly be interested.

I recall seeing another thread on this not too long ago. From what I understand, the Glock community has been chomping at the bit for Glock to come out with it...but it has saddly not gone their way.

In light of recent fear-mongering, I don't think it will be on the shelves any time soon.

My condolences to Glock fans.

Why? What would Glock bring to the table?

They can't add additional supply because many parts like recievers are made by only a handful of suppliers anyway.

Glock has a marketing campaign of doing things "differently" than everyone else (which really means minimal features and manufacturing simplicity) and directing operation toward the lowest common denominator of user competence.

So other than using proprietary lousy sights, crappy triggers and changing the pistol grip angle to something most people find uncomfortable at best, I see Glock as a non-starter in the AR world.

It doesn't seem logical to me.

I'm still waiting for a pistol caliber carbine that takes their magazines. Especially one in 10mm.

But they are content with screwing up their tried and true pistols while adding nothing of substance to the lineup.
