I just bought 10K 45 brass and it looks like around 2000 of it is plated. I don't reload my own SD ammo so I was trying to decide if it is worth keeping for 230 fmj or 200 gr LSWC's.

Am I correct in assuming that do to work hardening the nickel plated can't be reloaded as many times as the yellow brass? If that is the case aprox how many times can it be reloaded and feel safe about it?
Thanks

Load it any way you wish. Keep loading it until you see splits in the case mouth or the plating starts to peel.

In any pistol caliber, I feel safe about it until I lose it in the weeds, or the neck splits.

Neither is a safety issue.

If I had 2,000 once-fired nickle .45 cases, I would be overjoyed!!

Excellent price.

In .45 they will last a long time, although nickle does tend to crack sooner in higher pressure stuff.

I like to load "rainy day" ammo in nickle cases if I have them.
