Guess im joining the dark side now fellas. The deal was too good to pass up. Came with Magpul furniture and was 174 shipped. Not too bad for it to get to Alaska. Should come in right at 200$ including FFL.

The reason why you ask? Well...lately at the range i have been picking up a ton of .223 brass so obviously i should just get a rifle to reload it for

I've purchased many blems from PSA, both uppers and lowers. I have never been able to find the blemishes, theyve all looked perfect. Dare I say that PSA's blems are in better condition than most factory new Colt rifles I've seen (Yes, I'm a Colt owner and dings/scratches dont bother me).

Now i just have to pick an upper!

I might look into a 7.62x39 upper since i have a ton of reloading equipment and amm for it. That would be convenient.

I bet it would be more accurate than my ironsight sks thats for sure!

I just got 4 PSA uppers for $40 each. Only one had a very small spot that could remotely be called blemish. I was a tiny nick in the rail edge. Very hard to notice and would be hidden if any type of rear sight was installed.

I used a PSA blemished complete lower and it has been great. I put a 20" Del Ton upper on it and
I was unable to find a blemish on my "blemished" lower. I paid $130 for the complete lower.

Some say they cannot find a blemish on the receiver.

I have 3 PSA blemished lowers so far (and my brother has one as well) and they all look pretty much perfect.

You sometimes have to look hard for the blemishes. Sometimes they are just an inconsistent finish, sometimes in a hard to see place like a mag well. I have yet to see anything that could be considered a major blemish though.

Pretty excited for it to get here. Have never had magpul furniture and i am intrigued to start building an AR. i have heard that 7.62x39 ARs were not all they were cracked up to be but that was years ago.

Was hoping that all my reloading equipment i might be able to make match grade ammo for the caliber.

I recently saw a 458 socom upper for under 500$ and am intrigued at a 458 socom build under 700$ total that is for sure

Last year I bought a blemished PSA premium rifle kit (assembled upper & lower parts kit) & a blemished stripped lower. I and the FFL who received it for me looked the stripped lower over closely & couldn't find a blemish. There were a couple of places where the finish didn't look quite right on the barrel of the assembled upper. I went over them with a black marker but I really don't care that much if it isn't perfect. I built a rifle that functions well for a really good price.

I have bought blems and never had any trouble finding the blemish. That said they were all rather minor issues with the finish. Nothing that bothered me in the least and well worth the $ saved. I shoot my guns and use the and they will get similar imperfections pretty quickly.

The only real issue I've seen with their lowers is they use 6061-T6 for their buffer tubes and not 7075-T6. If you read closely they call them Mil spec diameter tubes and not mil spec tubes. This is probably not a real issue for the vast majority of people buying them. The 6061 is undoubtedly weaker and more susceptible to failure if the butt end of the gun strikes something hard. Some ask why would they ever do that. They are unfamiliar with the "mortaring" technique and the like. See above about it being good enough for most people. If you want to upgrade it, it is easy enough to do.

Ya know, a price like that for a complete lower might even get me into the AR game...something I've resisted since i shot an M16A1 in 1984, last time I had an AR type rifle at the range.
