And just FYI, in case you were wondering, I'm not a lady. I'm getting my CCL and needed a compact 9mm, and the K9 seemed to fit the bill. All the local shops (Austin) were sold out of the regular K9, and I found one used across town for about $400, and pulled the trigger.

The sales guy said that the only real difference is that I won't be able to shoot hot P+ loads through it.

Taking it to the range tomowwor on my day off. Hopefully it will be everything a Kahr's supposed to be.

Adios for now.

Never heard of a "Lady" K9. Maybe he's pulling your leg?

Either way, a K9 for $400 is a good deal unless it's terribly abused.

No, the manual actually refers to it as a "Lady K," that the recoil spring is less intense than the regular one.

Also, Lady K is embossed on the side of the gun. I thought it was a great deal, it has tritium night sights as well. Supposedly the only thing I can't do with it is shoot hot loads, which doesn't bother me really.

Can you post a pic? I've never seen or heard of that model. It's certainly not part of their current lineup (I just checked).

Ah, I just did a quick web search and found that it did exist, at least back in 2002. Interesting...

Anyway, a K9 of any version and night sights for $400 is a good deal. I see plain used models sell for more than that around here.

The first couple of years the K 9's were around, they marketed the Lady 9".
Its just a K 9 with a lighter recoil spring..........thats the only difference.
Its a great gun........replace the recoil spring with a Wolff when it needs it and you have a K 9 again.
Shoot well.

WOW, great gun!

Okay, I just shot 4 boxes of 9mm through this little Kahr and there were ZERO problems! What surprises me is the accuracy of this little pistol. I’m not a particularly great pistol shooter, yet first time out of the gate I was getting pretty much everything into a 6 inch radius at 15 yards, which for me is excellent. By comparison, with my Ruger P345 I have to try pretty hard to get them all in the silhouette.

I am very impressed to say the least. Not 1 jam in 200 rounds, and I fed her all different types of ammo.

1) Winchester white box 115 grain Ball
2) CCI Blazer 115grain Ball
3) Remington UMC 115grain ball
4) Winchester personal defense hollow points

“Lady” or not, this little Kahr WILL be my CC choice once I finally get around to taking the class. And I can put 3 boxes of practice ammo through it for every 1 box of .45ACP I put through my Ruger.

Consider this a A+ initial recommendation for Kahr.

Contrary to popular belief, there are more differences in the "Lady" K than just a lighter recoil spring. The striker spring is also lighter and the striker bore is honed. Sear is also different, but I'm not exactly sure what makes it different.

Ok.........granted the springs are different and parts polished. I dont think Kahrs have sears do they, they have striker and trigger parts.........hell, I dont know.
The lighter striker spring is the Wilson/Wolff design thats 5#'s instead of 6#'s. Ive had them in all of my Kahrs.....................Its a 5$ trigger job if you dont have the Elite trigger and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
My point is its just the same as a K series....all of the main parts are. If he's looking for grips, holsters, etc.......thats what he needs to look for. Its a hell of alot closer than the E" series with plastic sights :D
Shoot well.
