Well I just picked up a Sig P226 Navy model, 9mm. I have a box of Remington 115gr JHP. I was just wondering what you guys/gals prefer to shoot out of the P226 for those of you that have them, and what would be the best ammo as far as quality, but good price go just for range shooting. 50-100yards.

Thanks in advance, will get pics up soon!

I handload 115g Proofmark lead bullets, for high-volume shooting. I don't have a good recommendation for a preferred round, as I have yet to find ANYTHING that the P226 in 9mm (or P229 in 40sw) won't impress me with. Enjoy money WELL spent!

Thats kinda what I figured, never really heard anything bad about the weapon. I was just wondering if anyone had a preferred round for it.

Thanks for the answer!

Georgia-arms.com has a 9mm "canned heat" ammo that is designed to duplicate the NATO FMJ. This has always been accurate and consistent for me.

In my P226 Navy I shoot mostly Blazer 115 aluminum, but when I want to hit at distance I like Winchester USA 147 grain JHP's.

The 147 JHP's are the old Olin Super Match load and are also what I use for IHMSA Field Pistol out to 100 yards when I use my Glock 17L longslide.
