I just got back from Walmart. I bought 2 100 round boxes of Winchester white box 9mm target ammo for $14.56 per box. That's not too bad I don't think. I'm going to shoot 150 of them in my new P95 this weekend. I'm saving 50 for shooting with my mom next weekend. She likes to shoot, but doesn't have a pistol...yet.

I think it should be a little cheaper than that. I may be wrong, but I think 100 round target WWB at wally world should be around 10.99. Anyways tell me how the gun shoots. I am looking into getting a p95. PM me after you shoot and tell me what you think about it. I really like the gun. Congrats!

Son of a b^*&^*^! Well, I ain't takin' the f'ers back, unless the Walmart in the town I actually live in is WAY cheaper. I'm down for saving some money.

I shot one a few weeks ago, it was a friend's. I don't know enough to compare it to anything. I did a lot of research and not many folks had anything bad to say about it, not that would affect me.

I will double check next time I am there, but I am almost certain that it was 11 or 12 bucks. I shoot monarch through my 9mm. I havent had any problems with it and it is SUPER cheap. You can get it at Academy sports for $4.86/50rnds. I have enjoyed it so far.

Add me to the list of those wanting to hear about your P95. It is near the top of the list of 9mm that I am considering.

Please post a report after your shooting session this weekend.
Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Walmart 9mm WWB value packs vary in price depending on where you live. In South FL it use to be $10.96, now its $12.88.

I wonder if prices are different from region to region.

Also take a look at CCI Blazer. That stuff is very good quality and usually really cheap!!

For those of you thinking about a P95, below is a copy of my text from an older post of mine.

"I recently shot a Ruger P95DC belonging to a friend. It was a fine shooter, nice and smooth with not much recoil. I was getting 4-5" groups from 15 or 20 yards (in the woods) with my first 10 shots, first time I'd shot a handgun in years. I really want a manual safety on a pistol though. His didn't have one, just the decocker that I have a hard time trusting. I don't think his had a rail either."

I need to add the following to that statement though. It's a little embarassing though. .... After about 100 rounds, the gun would jam on me, on the 3rd round, every magazine. My buddy said, "maybe it's the magazine." So, we swapped magazines. The gun never jammed on him with either magazine. The other magazine jammed on me too! So, basically, I was limp-wristing it.

I know the problem was my arm getting tired. So, I didn't let that keep me from buying this gun. I also shot a .38 special revolver that day too. I didn't care for the double action pull on every shot, but it sure was easy to reload.

Ya I have shot one before and was impressed. The gun was a little bulky but felt solid. Let me know how things work out after the first few hundred rounds. I will most likely get one this summer if all goes to plan.

The big stores give some very attractive prices for the bulk 100 round boxes of 9mm. The 115 gr WWB is loaded a bit soft for my taste. It occasionally fails to lock back my CZ's slide at the end of a magazine. Functions fine and is acceptably accurate.

Since I use 124 gr +P carry ammo, I practice with 124 grain fodder for same point of impact. Federal American Eagle FMJ is very good. I never have any problems with it. A little hotter than most standard pressure ammo, which I like. I buy it at sporting goods stores or gun shops rather than x-Mart.

Unfortunately, it runs $9 - $10 per box of 50.

CCI's new 9mm "Blazer Brass" ammo is about $1.00 cheaper per box than Federal. I don't have as much experience with it, but my early impression (from a couple of boxes of 115 gr and 124 gr ball) is positive.

Anyone here use Sellier & Bellot 9mm for practice? I've seen deals on S&B ball at Cheaperthandirt.com for less than $7 a box. Good ammo?
