my trusty old S&W Model 686 that I bought when they were first introduced. Gonna' feed her some 125gr Federals next week! Haven't shot her for 3-4 years or maybe longer...

I am an avid shotgunner, and >>

I rarely shoot handguns, other than cycling my Glock 19 that is used as a self-defense weapon here at home...

Nice gun, but what makes that gun so pretty is the fact those grips are stunning.
Thanks for sharing.

I still have the original wood grips too >>

the finger groove S&W grips feel so much better IMHO...

Very nice Slugo, I loaded some 180 grn XTP's w/ 9.4grns of Blue Dot and fed. standard primers, they shot very well from my Colt Trooper w/a 4" barrel :) happy shooting.

You convinced me I need a 686. Thanks, like I need ANOTHER gun to dump my money into.......

but man, yours looks like a beaut. Stainless, or Nickel? It's shiny enough I can't quite tell  . And, what Bbl"?

Those grips are absolutely exquisite, man. If you really don't "shoot her that much", I"ll be glad to take such a neglected female off your hands--I 'been known to treat my revo's nice, just the way they like it.....:D .

Mine is an all stainless 686 with 4" barrel >>

it doesn't come in nickel finish, and the blued version is the model 586...

Eightball, a closer look >>

go find a nice used 686, the prices on new ones are getting ridiculous IMO...

Wow.. Beautiful gun. Despite my love of the Security-Sixes, I have to say I think the 686 is the BEST .357 ever made. I have a 6-inch, but wish I'd kept my 4-inch model.

Take her out and shoot the daylights out of her. You'll both feel better.:D

Anything else in your safe that hasn't been shot in that long you can send to me. ;)
