...but does anyone else have a favorite gun that's kind of odd? For me, it's my Beretta 418. Its is an antiquated design that shoots an anemic cartridge, but I love this little gun. It's points well, very reliable, no recoil, and exudes cool. I bought it after I read the early Bond novels, and then fell in love with the pistol. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I have no actual "favorite gun", but I am partial to the odd and typically-undervalued guns. I actually like my older Jennings J22, how it looks and how it shoots. Others I have a soft spot for include my Bauer .25, Grendel P10, and my two Taurus PT-25 pistols (one of them is in stainless to boot.)

Oh, and I just had a second magazine for my FEG AP-22 pistol arrive in the mail today, from an eBay seller. These magazines are hard to come by, but they're for a neat, fairly-uncommon pistol.

I thought the Hk P7's were fantastic and funky.

If you could come to terms with the controls, it was very quick and intuitive.

Ive had an odd fascination with the Taurus CT9 carbine ever since seeing it on the G&A cover...in the event it was imported for only one year and you gotta fab your own magazines, but its fun, cheap and easy to shoot, accurate, and the Sci-fi styling draws crowds and comments every time I shoot it.
Have wanted a Whitney Wolverine since I was a kid too....ray gun anyone? Honorable mentions to the Dardick tround pistol, Gyrojet, and Johnson M1941.

I like my M1895 Nagant revolvers. Overly complex design, weak cartridge, limited battlefield utility, produced far longer than they should have been, but neat little revolvers all the same.

As a general condition of my subjective taste, anything which isn't a bit odd could never be my favorite.
Too funny I was just thinking the opposite.
AR 15, S&W M&P 9mm, Springfield XDs 45 and Remington 870 are my favorites.

I guess to me the oddest guns I like are the cool ARs with neat paint jobs. In other words I'm not into odd or unusual guns.

If I had to consider something "odd" about one of my guns it would probably be my Baby Browning. I have always had a certain fascination with so-called "Mouse Guns" and loved how something so diminutive could be designed, built, and still functioned properly. Have had numerous Beretta Jetfires and an Astra Cub but the Baby Browning has always been my favorite.

For myself it is pump action rifles. I have four. I don't really have a love for the shot guns, mine is an over/under. But I really like the "Amish Machine Gun". When Troy brought out the CA approved Ar-fifteen with the quad rail pump I was immediately informed by my shooting buddy that someone made an Ar that even I could use. At the time I was unable to make any hits with his Rock River.
My shooting has improved much since then. But I still love my Game Master seven sixties.
