Finally got another pistol, sold everything when my daughter was born. Loved the ruger MK 1 I had. Went to the store today and liked the feel of this better. How accurate should this be? The sights are adjustable so I would guess that it would be easier to zero.

But it also was about the same price as the used MK II's there, and I didn't feel 240 was too bad for a weapon that looks to have less than 100 rounds through it. But I haven't been looking at prices that much.

Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated, I will be hitting the range tomorrow.

Thanks,
Jim

caseydog (member here) got his not too many weeks ago to enable him to shoot bowling pins .. a Wednesday evening fun session we have at one club.

Knock on wood - it has been excellent - pretty much out the box. Asssuming that is this is the same designation pistol. Sure it is.

He does add a dab of lube to slide now and again ... but in essence, it has been excellent. Perhaps now - 1,000 rounds and more.

I've got the Buck Mark Camper model, which is somewhat of a lacking description- mine is a two-tone with laminated factory custom grips and the TruGlo sight.

It's a laser in terms of accuracy.

I just started experimenting with it and mounted a holosight on it this week. My brother is coming by in a few minutes and we're going to see how the new sight stacks up to the irons.

Welcome to the Cult of Buck Mark. You're gonna love it.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Got out to the range today, took 3 rounds to zero. Then shot mabe 50 rounds in fist size pattern. The range was only 17 yards (I think thats what the sign said). I felt the weapon could have done better, but it has been many years since firing a pistol of any kind. And with anything I know it will take alot of practice.

But the way the weapon performed was secondary to being able to do activity with my wife. Didn't realize how much fun it was to have her able to participate in something with me (she was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago and can't get around anymore)

Thanks, all of you, reading here is what made my mind up on what weapons to buy.

Yup , picked up the same gun (based on advice here) , been a great gun so far. With what I've fired here at home plus whats been expended at bowling pins , well over 1000 rounds, a few FTF stuck on the ramp very early ~ none after the first 500 rounds , 1 fail to eject , a few misfires with good strikes ~ pretty normal for less than premium 22 ammo.

Very accurate rested , the factory sights were pretty decent (red dot now). Very easy to clean and maintain , but you have to take off the rear sight assembly to strip the slide , so you should reshoot after detail cleaning to ensure the sights are still on, still much simpler to clean than the Rugers.

All in all i'm pretty impressed with the function of this gun , the 22 bowling pin league that P95 and I shoot in there are all manner of guns used , and the Buck has been above average for functioning compared to the rest of the field, which is great because shooting poorly is one thing but malfunctions can ruin a good night shooting pretty quickly.
