sign up for an account at photobucket.com or one of the similar sites. Upload your image to there, then under the image will be a direct link text line. Copy and paste that link into your post and you will have posted a pic.

What he said. The appropriate text line is the "IMG Code" line. That one will make the image pop up on the forum.
Also, Photobucket now has some pretty sophisticated editing functions, so you can upload the photo and edit it to look how you want.
Congrats on the 1100. I bought one of the Wal-Mart $328 specials (black synthetic stock 1100) back when they were clearing them out. It's been my dove gun ever since.
