Well yesterday I picked up a XDM Subcompact! So far this gun seems to be very well made and feels great in hand. It is about a 1/2 inch smaller in the grip than the Glock 19. I got a great deal on it as well, $549 for the Two-Tone version. If anyone is wanting a XD or XDM I would highly recommend buying one before Dec 31, due to the 3 free magazine rebate offered by Springfield. I will upload pics and a range update ASAP.

$549 is a great price especially for the bi-tone. Looking forward to pics and range report.
You going to CCW this? If so, what holster?
I just ordered a xdm 9mm compact myself. The free mag offer is a really nice deal.

I thoroughly dislike the fact that people call this gun a "subcompact" when it's clearly called/marked as a "compact" -.-

gadegaard and strmday, I was looking at the three free mag rebate form on SA's website and as far as I can tell you can only order the 19rd XDm 9mm mags (full size mags) for the XDm compact. They don't seem to have/list the new 13rd XDm 9mm (flush fitting) compact mags on the form to order from (am I missing something here?). If I buy a new XDm 9mm compact before the end of this year, I would rather receive three of the 13rd compact mags for it than the 19rd full size mags (IMHO).

Well I went to the range and had a great time with the XDM. It shoot very well and the trigger is very smooth. I would have to say that the recoil is less than my G19 as well. So far I am very pleased with this gun. I put 150 rounds through the gun without any malfunctions. I even covered one full magazine with snow and inserted it into the XDM fully coated with snow. ZERO malfunctions!!!

^ Dude, I know you can, but that just made my blood pressure drop.

I bought one in bitone, and just got my 3 free mags. Mine were all the flush-fitting ones. For the record, I like it significantly more than my previous XD9SC. Not that I didn't like the little sub, but the XDmC fits me so well.

I sometimes carry my XD Compact, and sometimes my wifes XD Sub, both in 9mm, reliable guns for sure.
Congrats on the new buy

I thought they actually did come out with a SC, that has a flush-fit mag and a full size mag....or am I wrong?
