Just got shot at.

So I'm coming out of a local city cruising down the road. Next thing I know My ears are ringing. Now I did a tour in Iraq & have been shot at before. I don't like it, the wife says three shot's where fired the car going the opposite direction was parrallel to mine, I didn't know three shot's where fired because my ears where ringing.

I filed a police report with the local PD, we where about to call when I found two of them right down the road. Guess what they said when they found out where it happened.
( And I quote ) " Well thats in the county area " So they gave my report to the sheriffs office, by now there is no hope in catching those punks

Why are people so dumb. That could have killed my wife or me or maybe even the baby in the house next door, I am going to file for my Concealed carry on monday Cheers

Were you shot at? Or were shots fired from near you?

There's no excuse for what they did if they were shooting from a moving vehicle. I was just wondering if you were attacked or annoyed.

Something like this happened in my town once only the police caught them. It was a car load of teenagers shooting .308 blanks out the window as a bad prank.

It's a hell of a shame to see that it happens to veterans back in their own country. Hope that if the next shots are quickly identified, somebody can turn around and go memorize the license plate or local address if from a static location.

My brother-in-law and his wife live on a small hill on the n.e side of Putney VT, about three hundred yards from a farm in the flat land near NH.

They have walked down the road below the hill several times and heard shots with bullets hitting trees about 30' or so above their heads.

The shots are from somebody's backyard, possibly against a target, and the police seemed uninterested and were ineffective. The shots are from whichever neighbor less than a half-mile away from their house.
The married couple are gentle liberals who are Not Yet anti-gun, but I suppose that those low-lifes near Putney don't have enough brains to care anyway...

I might be visiting within a few months and if so will go knock on some neighbors' doors to spread the word.

I was riding my motorcycle on a road parallel to the gate on a Naval base in Puerto Rico in the 60's (yeah, I'm that old) and saw puffs of smoke coming from the gate area.

I was on liberty for the weekend and when I got back, I heard that some radical group was shooting at people along the road. They were seen and ran on the base to hide in a very large area of brush. A search party was formed and rooted them out by the next day.

They were shooting from about 300 yards and thankfully were not members of THR and did know the fundamentals of leading and windage or I wouldn't be writing this.

Was your car hit, and/or did you see a gun; if the answer to both of those is no, I would have a hard time coming to the conclusion that I was shot at... Are you sure it wasn't a vehicle backfire... etc?

This seems like a good idea.

They, for all intents and purposes, ignored a report of an active shooter firing randomly on the street.
