Well, it has been awhiles since I have been on. I come with the question, which concealed pistol. This September will be getting the Beretta 96A1. I love the Beretta and have completly decided on that one. My question is what concealed pistol do I want to get. I have been looking at the Ruger LCR. It is light weight, small and it has the 38 Special round which is goin to have a bigger punch then a 9mm. I was just wondering if there were any other concealed pistols that you think would have the same "bang for your buck" like the LCR. Just looking for some input.

Don't think many would say the 38 is better in any way to a 9mm. but you will just have to try different pistols to see what fits best for you and how you will carry. I have several very light handguns with one being a charter arms 38 at 12.7oz and a kel tec pf-9 at 12 .6oz. The pistols carry easier do to a very thin profile and when the 38 is loaded to the same level as the 9mm the KT is a bit easier to control with a few more rounds. Just try to rent if you can an fire a few rounds to see if you like the ruger. Most all of these small light carry guns do there job well. Hard to say one is better than another. I would even try to find a use s&w airweight. They also have there own plastic fantastic revolver. None of these small guns are probably shot all that much do to recoil like a full size gun might be. Good luck

I used to concealed carry an M92.No bigger trick than some others to carry.

What??
Really??

.380 and .38 sp are probably the best all around calibers for pocket guns. I use the "money pocket" (you know, the little half pocket inside of your right front pocket?) as a holster for my P3AT and it works quite well. The muzzle just barely reaches the bottom of the pocket and the triggerguard squeezes into the miniature pocket quite nicely, allowing quick access and deep concealment. LCR I think is the same size.

You can also get 9mm in this size range if you are willing to part with a little extra cash.

FYI: For all the young whipper-snappers out there.

That little pocket is called a Watch pocket.

Folks used to carry a pocket watch on a chain in them before they invented digital wrest watches and cell phones with clocks in them.

Kept the big gold watch from getting all scratched up in the pants pocket full of pocket knives, pipe tampers, and real silver coins.
