Today. $349 + SH. This will be my very first C&R order, and as such I could use a bit of help.

1. How should I log it in?
2. Do gun packages come already insured?

I'm excited as all heck and hope it shoots better than the izzys i have in my cabinet. Some guy said he can do MoSilhou at 500, but if I can do 5" at 100 I'll be quite happy with my purchase.

ps: this is a 91/30 sniper with PU mount, post war.

I also had a Izzy full-length, and I could shoot 3 inch at 100 yards with open iron sights. The nagant are unbelievably accurate.

You should rent "Enemy at the Gate", and re-experience the scoped Izzy in real action.

I too, own an Izzy 91/30. Mine was made in 1938, captured by the Finns, and restocked with a new, war-era Finnish stock. The Finns added a taller front sight post, which makes it hit point of aim at 100 yards. The older I get, the more and more I appreciate the simple things in life. Thus, my 91/30 is a favorite of mine. I hope you are pleased with yours as well. Make sure the 2 receiver screws are good and snug. Tighten the one at the front of the magazine first, then tighten the tang screw ( back of the receiver, behind bolt ). Good ole hot ( and I mean Hot ) soapy water and a proper fitting bore brush will go a long way to keep the barrel nice if you plan to shoot surplus ammo in it. Let us know how you like it when you get it! Have a great time enjoying the Mosins' capabilities!

well, i don't know about the product

but their customer service is ridiculously fast.

i ordered the rifle...

15 mins later called back to order a 24/47 bayonet...

the sniper had already shipped!!!

You need a Bound Book; Brownell’s carries a nice one cost about 10 bucks delivered. Just log the gun into the book follow the columns and make sure you put the dealers name and the FFL # into the “who received from”.

When you buy from a non FFL get his name, drivers license # , DOB and address for the same column .

when you got your C&R you should have gotten a little folding card for listing weapons. That has the info you'll need to record. weapon's SN (import if marked is "official", should recored who imported as well.), type, caliber. Seller's name, address, any other info you can get. Date.

Go get a lined bound blank book, like for diaries. I'm not a fan of the binders or spiral books since you cannot tell if a page has been removed. Leave space on the page after the above info for the same info on who it was sold to. I put one weapon per page, and a big space for notes on it, condition, identifying features, accessories. Hell, I even add how it shoots to the book since there is room.

I've got 2 42 Izzies and a 39 Tula with a pre war hexcoming nect week.

All mine come from SOG.

I have been seriously considering one of the snipers
Pleasepost a QC report when you get it.

The ones coming from AIM seem to be well recieved
