A while back I posted a open ended question, as to what would be better
a taurus 94, or a single six. Overwhelming response, was "go with the Ruger"
Well I just got off the phone with my dealer, my Lipsey's exclusive
4 5/8 " sts single six will be here on thursday. Anyone had any advise on
it (ie, how to treat it, mods, leather, like's and dislikes). Also any great
stories about theirs? When I get it down to my club in Ft. Dix, I'll write
a report. :D

You made an excellent choice! The Super Single Six is a very versitile and fun gun. I love mine. The SSS will make you slow down and appreciate the finer points of sight picture, breathing and trigger control. I have the stainless 5.5" model and with the right ammo I get near target pistol quality groups. I also find it to be an excellent field revolver.

As to holsters, I would recommend the Tom Threepersons style from El Paso Saddelry. Mine fits like a glove and is very comfortable, especially in the field.

Plus the gun is built like a tank... You will pass it on to your grandkids...

Enjoy!
