just picked up a 686-4

i just picked up a s&w 686-4 no cnc machinery or mim parts or internal lock the serial#brn**** i paid before taxes $459.00 did i do good? it looks like new hardly firedif that and the lock up is tight. oh and it has hogue rubber grips on it it came with the box & all the paper work so how did i do? this thing is built like a tank

What barrel length? I paid $525 for a mint 4" 686-3 a few months ago (online, so add in another $50 for shipping and FFL fees). I'm vey happy with mine. Get some Mother's Mag and polish it up. It will look like nickel in no time!

4" red ramp adjustiable white uotline rear sight the only thing that had a flaw was the brown paper was too far gone now i have too wait a couple of days without it will my gun be ok without it?

IMO that is a good price. I bought a M686-2 last year for $550 so you got a better deal than I did. Granted, mine did come with a beautiful set of grips but I changed them because they were way too big for my hands.
