I went into the shop today dead set on a S&W 438. Checked one out and was about to buy it when the salesman said "Before you buy this, you should check out the LCR, otherwise you're going to be mad a few days down the road when you see one". I thought he was giving me a line of crap but after holding the Ruger, I didn't even want to look at the Smith anymore.

Long story short I picked it up as my on duty back up. It's super lightweight and I really felt that a revolver was the way to go for an OS gun. I have yet to get her to the range, and sadly that may not happen until next week but I am stoked to have this little thing with me at work and for CC. This will be my first gun that I can literally carry with almost any outfit.

I owned on for about half an hour. Got it home, wife picked it up and declared it "HERS"! It's her carry piece.

We both shoot the thing quite well. You will like it a lot. You done good!

I was dead set on a new airweight j frame in february, getting ready for warm weather carry and putting up the 1911. Handled an LCR and ended up buying it. Definately a great trigger, no doubt.

J Frames do not have good triggers

the LCR does.

Enough to put up with the warthog looks? Lots of folks have said "yes" and enjoy them.

I hope that you are one of them.

Got a LCR in .22lr for a fun plinking gun. I love it. The 357 version I'd the next gun on my to buy list.

Can someone please tell me what a OS gun is?

OS="Oh $%!@"?:D

It's what I'd be thinking (and probably saying/yelling) if I had to pull a backup gun....or any gun for that matter.
So I guess EVERY gun can be an OS gun

The .357 model will probably be my next gun buy, and I'm far from a "revolver guy". A gentleman at the range let me shoot a cylinder through it, and it's by far the revolver I've shot best. Gonna buy one for the days I wear gym shorts and the like.

Congrats! My lcr357 is my first revolver and I love it.

My lcr22 was my second revolved, and I may love it even more, if only because I can afford to shoot it all day :)

It seems to be really solid, and I love that It's small and light enough to wear while I'm running. Before it seemed like the only guns that size that I could comfortably carry while running were "sub caliber" autos.
