I go shopping for grips, and end up with a new pistol to put them on. *sheesh*

Beautiful gun. I haven't had time to shoot it yet, but hope to within the next couple of days. In the meantime - here's a couple of pictures with the Ivory Needlewood grips from Omega on it -

Nice! Can I use the pic for my P-01 page? Looks like you made the right choice
for Ammo! 124 GR Gold Dot + P!

Gorgeous grips for a gorgeous gun. Mine does everything so well that it makes it hard for me to justify getting new semi-autos. I still manage, somehow.

Thanks for the compliments on the grips - I think they came out great.

Amoredman - yes ... I need to get on the horn with HBE and have them start to make me a nice IWB soon as I can. I'd also like to find something off the rack just to have it soon (if possible). Maybe one of the high noon stock models?

CZF - Sure - feel free to use the photo. Thank you for asking. And the Gold Dot feeds so well in the 75B & the RAMI that I just assumed it would run through the P-01 w/o problems.

Hopefully, I'll be "testing" tomorrow.

Just back from the first range trip -

This pistol is far more accurate than I am. Very nice.

Had to make my range trip quick as it was just a lunch break from work. Shot 100 rounds of WWB 115g FMJ, and about 20 rounds (all I had left) of Gold Dot 124g +P JHP. Not one failure to feed or eject.

This is a wonderful gun.

P1 +P's?

Initial post deleted due to the fact that it had absolutely nothing to do with the thread...

Somebody should be more careful before they hit "enter".

(And, that would be ME)

P01 CZ P1 Walther - Yikes!

JANITOR:

I apologize for interjecting my wisdom (or lack thereof) regarding your P01 post.

I had earlier today replied to a question regarding the Walther P1 (6 threads below yours actually) and somehow in my semi-senile lframe of mind when I saw your post regarding your P01 I confused the two.. (Guess I couldn't see the PICTURES associated with your post?)

Getting old sucks.. My only problem is I would probably have made the same mistake 40 years ago too, only without the "semi-senile" excuse.

Only recently have I become interested in the CZ line myself. Hopefully in the future I can save enough retirement pennies to pick up a CZ75 Compact, or some other compact of the CZ's. I don't know ANYTHING about the CZ's except I keep reading excellent posts about them.

Be kind to old people, it's good for you.

Best Wishes.

J.P. :what:

JP -

Nothing to worry about. Easy mistake to make, and easy to miss the pictures I only attach as thumbnails.

Trust me - I completely understand about the senior moment thing. Myself - I kind of like the senior moments. I can now attribute my normal oversights and forgetfulness to my age. :)

You really should look into a CZ. If you're interested in compact, maybe look at the P-01, or the 2075 RAMI. The RAMI is also available in .40 if that's what (sic) trips your trigger. Lightweight alloy guns with the P-01 at about 27 ounces, and the RAMI at about 25. Both handle unbelievably well and are as reliable as you could ask a pistol to be.

If you want steel rather than alloy - take a look at the 75 compact, or the SP-01.

Not a purchase you'll regret if you go there. CZs are wonderful guns, and have (imo) to date not gotten anywhere near the credit they deserve.

Czech out the whole line of CZs, since there is one for everyone. I have a Po1 and love it, and my wife is very happy with her CZ 2975 RAMI 9mm. Go for it!

:)

Nope - they come with phillips screws. Hex screws are high on the list of things I need to deal with.

You can't beat CZ's for quality and value. If I ever give up my Kimber .45ACP for CCW, I'll probably start carrying my CZ PCR 9mm.

CZaccuracy

my own experience: my only 9mm is a 1985
CZ. Trying to replicate the test target I shot it
at the 50 yard range, resulting in nice 2-3 inch
grps centered on a series of regular sized plastic
dinner plates. sandbagged slow fire. Was surprised
to find that the test target was shot at 25m. "The
CZ Parabellum pistol, Model 75, calibre 9mm Para.,
manufactured by the AGROZET National Enterprise
in Uhersky Brod, is suitable for aimed shooting up to
50 metres. It has been tested and zeroed at 25 metres,
but can be used at longer ranges with reasonable accuracy." page 7. true.
