.40 cal v-10 ported any feedback on what to expect from this new toy?

congrats, man i love my xd's both are in .40 i have experience with the v10 ported 9mm but not the .40 i am interested in hearing how it does for you, i know the 9mm v10 shoots like a dream with almost zero muzzle flip

Have had my XD40 for 2 1/2 years now. No regrets. It's a great gun.

Congrats! Great guns, triggers not as good as Glocks, But the ported one you bought, is much tammer than the G23 I just traded for.

I've been renting guns at the range lately, gearing up for my next purchase, and the xD .45 was one of the weapons I tried. Everything I read about it was good and it fired great. I'm sure you will be happy with it.

What can you expect from the .40 cal ported? Broken ports on the slide, that is what you can expect.

The ported models are known for this. Keep an eye on the metal between the ports and around the ports for cracks. If they do crack then you'll probably do what everyone else has done. Send it back to SA and tell them to give you a non-ported barrel and slide. They'll probably recoat the pistol or put night-sights on it for your trouble though. They've done that a few times too.
