Also, don't forget about the U.N. and IANSA trying to assault our Second Amendment at the international level. The Obama administration made it very clear to the U.N. that, unlike the Bush administration, they would be receptive of curtailing the gun rights of U.S. citizens via an international treaty.

Beside joining the NRA (good start) you might also join a local (state) gun right's group, here in AZ we have the Arizona Citizens Defense League (www.azcdl.org), they can use all the help in getting your state anti-gun laws changed, when I'm volunteering at their table at gun shows I ask people "Do you want to help push the wagon, or are you just going to stand aside and clap as we go by?"

I just buy guns, ammo and vote accordingly. The 2nd Amendment protects our right to bear as we dont need any Washington lobby group to uphold our right. Nope, search his post history...he's made this argument and defended it many times.

Some people will go to any lengths to remain in denial.

The ironic thing is that NRA membership dues don't go to fund lobbying efforts in Washington - they support the NRA's traditional programs teaching marksmanship, gun safety, etc. The NRA ILA is the group that lobbies, and they're separate entities.

It would be a lot better situation if more would join the NRA...If you can only join one, it should be the one you join IMHO... If you are into the ILA of it that is good also...
